Just a few thoughts: I could feel the anxiety of Joseph Sr. as he lay dying, for the welfare of his family in "scenes of trouble and affliction as long as they live upon the earth." So what did he do? Gave them a priesthood blessing, which reminds me of that part of the temple endowment session which refers to the blessings of the priesthood. That means SO MUCH to me, for my own "scenes of trouble and affliction" which I see coming toward my family. It really is the only, and best consolation we have.
